“ I believe each and every one of us lives with a certain level of trauma, addiction, and negligence of self-care. As a person in recovery and living with a neurological disorder, I know the positive impact yoga can have for the body, soul, and connection to a Higher Power.”

Trinity Hamilton led a successful career spanning two decades as a professional dancer with the Joffrey Ballet and Cirque du Soleil.
During her time with the Joffrey Ballet, Trinity was diagnosed with narcolepsy, which was later revised to include cataplexy after she began experiencing sudden losses of muscle control and motor function both during performances and in daily life. Having devoted herself to ballet since age four, this betrayal by her own body shattered her confidence and led to her first serious battle with substance use disorder.
She was later blessed to find Dr. Neil Feldman in St. Petersburg, Florida and was given a second chance to dance professionally under his care. Five years later, she was invited to audition for Cirque du Soleil and received the role as "La Belle" and "La Femme" in the Las Vegas resident show, Mystere.

Upon retirement in 2017, she began her yoga journey, receiving the following certifications:
200-hour YTT Vinyasa Instructor
Adaptive Yoga Certification & Advanced Studies with Matthew Sanford of Mind Body Solutions
Yoga for 12-step recovery (Y12SR)

Anjali Mental Health Awareness Yoga Teacher Training

With the unwavering support of friends and family, Trinity found her path to recovery. Today, she channels her experiences into helping others as a yoga instructor, artist, and recovery advocate throughout the Chicagoland area, bringing hope to those facing similar challenges.
